Sly Tech Bar

A new kid on the block to entice the techie crowd of Madhapur & Kondapur, Sly Tech Bar is a good place to bust the stress. A nice place provisioned with DJ, live performances, karaoke, it is sure thing to be a nice hangout. Sly Tech serves North Indian, Continental cuisines and a fusion of both. Ranging from typical Kolkata Jhaal Muri to Mexico Papdi chat, Fish fingers to Biryani Balls, Natwarlal’s Sadak Chaap Aloo chat to Cheese Poppers, the dishes on the menu are amazing.

The bar counter set up like a typical theka is cool. Several variants of mocktails and cocktails wonderfully decked up are awesome. With the liquids priced between in a range of 99-499 bucks, it is surely going to get attention of the guzzlers. Being a bar, it is obvious that it has more to offer in beverages & snacks.

Among the starters, to begin with the crunchy munchy snacks, we had Trainee’s Kolkata Jhaal Moori and Mexico Papdi Chat. Both these snacks are extremely spicy; being a spice lover, I liked them very much. Mexico papdi chat is the reguar papdi topped with salsa and garnished with a drop of sour cream and green chilly mayo. The green chilly mayo raises the spice quotient of the dish.

Fish fingers, named in the menu as Fish Pointing Fingers, are the crumb battered boneless fish pieces served with mayo garnished with chopped parsely. A non spicy dish which would be liked by all. Dilli 6 ka chicken tikka – Boneless chicken pieces well marinated and grilled to perfection. The chicken is soft & juicy and tastes heavenly. Mutton Sheek Kebab renamed Paaji’s sheek kebab is served with mint chutney, mini paratha & chorma papad. Amritsari fish was not upto the expectations; it basically lacked the typical ajwain spice which is an important ingredient of this dish.

Chicken Biryani balls is an innovative dish – North Indian chicken biryani made into balls, rolled on a batter and fried. I felt the biryani could have been more spiced up so that the flavor of biryani is evident. Garnished with raw onion rings and served with khatta imli chutney and mint chutney, the dish would be much better if the biryani rice had more flavor.

Beijing Rotation Shrimp is another variety dish presented by Sly Tech. Minced shrimp, coated with sesame on toast is served with a chilly dip. The combination of sesame & shrimp is awesome.

One more dish coming from the chinese cuisine – chilli chicken is good. Boneless chicken pieces very mildly coated with flour, tossed with capsicum, onions & green chillies is tasty.

Boss Pulled Mutton Tacos – One of the best mutton taco I relished. Shredded tandoori raan with mint & sour cream placed in a taco and served with mint chutney is good.
