Olive Bistro – is well known for its lovely ambiance & Mediterranean/European cuisine, probably one of Hyderabad’s best restaurant with an amazing scenic view located in midst of small hills behind Durgam Cheruvu. The restaurant has provisioned indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating is preferred as you are prone to mosquito bites in the outdoor since the outdoor has proximity to the flora. I visited this place for dinner with a group of friends. The decor and the lighting provides a relaxed feel.
Among the starters, we had deep fried Crumb Chilli Marinated Prawns. The prawns are bigger in size, well marinated with mayonnnaise seasoned with garlic. The combination of Garlic with Mayo enhanced the taste of the prawns. We also had the boneless chicken pieces marinated with cheese, green chillies, coriander cream and grilled to perfection. The boneless chicken is soft & tender that it melts in the mouth.
Greek Salad with Watermelon is amazing. It contained fresh Mesclun mix with olives, cucumber, red onion, bell peppers dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette and finished with a feta crumble.
Tomato and Roasted pepper Risotto cooked with small balls of mozzarella cheese and almonds.
Penne Pasta with Arrabbiata Sauce, which is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic, tomatoes, and red chili peppers cooked in olive oil. The pasta blended well with all the ingredients and tasted good.
Barbecue Chicken pizza.. is made out of a thin crust bread topped with succulent pieces of barbecue chicken, jalapenos and roasted mushrooms. The tangy taste of the barbeque sauce is just awesome. We also asked for All Veg on a thin crust pizza: As the name suggests, it is a thin crust pizza topped with tons of vegetables – roasted sweet pepper, button mushrooms, red onions, jalapenos, artichokes, marinated olives, spinach and mozzarella. The crust of the pizzas is so thin that it is not heavy on the belly and we may want to have more.
Overall, an amazing place with awesome ambiance, delectable food and prompt service.
