Hotel Rajdhani group offers a food paradise to vegetarians in the form of its new venture named ‘Tatva’. Located in the busy hub of Jubilee Hills and close to Madhapur, Tatva is a casual dining restaurant that is going to amaze the vegetarian food lovers. Serving food from the cuisines of Continental, Italian, North Indian and Chinese, Tatva serves rich quality food with a perfect taste.
Although I am a hard core non-vegetarian, I am amazed by the taste of the yummy dishes. The restaurant is divided into two sections – casual & fine dining sections. While the casual dining section had a casual decor with models of vintage cars & bikes, the fine dining section is class apart.
I visited Tatva as part of foodie event organized by Hyderabad Foodies. A set menu priced at Rs.450 included unlimited mocktails, 5 appetizers, 2 soups, 5 dishes for main course and 5 varieties of desserts.
We started with the mocktails – Hot Tody which is a hit among the crowd. Hot Tody is hot apple juice infused with whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon & cloves. A refreshing drink to start an amazing lunch.
Notable among the starters are Kamal Kakdi Galouti, Thai Shahlik Paneer, Hara Bhara Kebab and Jalapeno poppers. Kamal Kakdi Galouti is the lotus stem cooked with mashed potatoes, topped on a tiny soft paratha which is the size of the galouti. It is one of the best galoutis made to perfection that it melts in the mouth.

Jalapeno poppers are yummy, stuffed with a mixture of cheese & spices.

Thai Shashlik Paneer is Thai style grilled paneer wherein the Cottage cheese is skewed onto the satay sticks, marinated with Thai red curry and fried on a grilled pan.

Hara Bhara Kebab – The delicious Indian snack made with mashed potatoes, spinach and green peas; it is topped with Cashew or Almond nuts and deep fried to give a very good taste.

Paneer Kurchan, Malai Paneer Kofta, Nizami Hundi and Dal Tadka are served along with Tandoori Rotis, Masala Kulchas & Olive Naans as part of the main course from Indian cuisine. All the curries are medium spicy, rich in quality and very good to taste. From the Italian cuisine, Cannelloni Florentine is a show stopper; Pasta baked with filling of cheese & spinach, served along with toasted garlic bread is a must try.
An array of desserts served on the table included Paantantra, Banoffee, Chocolate Mousse, Coconut Brule & Tres Leche. With each of them having a unique flavor, the best among these is Paantantra. Paantantra is paan ice cream flavored with beetle leaves and gulkhand. The sweet fragrance of gulkhand fused with paan give a very good taste to relish after a good meal.
Summarizing, Tatva is a very good vegetarian restaurant, sure to give an amazing vegetarian dining experience. Although some of the dishes are pricey, the taste & quality of food is totally worth it.
