Cibo House

Cibo House – After pampering the crowd of Hitec City(@Hyderabad) with its fantabulous Italian & European cuisine, Cibo House now opens its new outlet in Gachibowli. As part of the buffet, Cibo offers a good range of salads, starters, pizzas, pasta, lasagna & delectable desserts; in addition, you get to have unlimited mocktails as part of the buffet.

The overall setup of the buffet was planned well so that the guests can taste all the varieties. While the salads, desserts are finely placed in tiny bowls and picked up from the counters, all of the starters, pasta, pizza and lasagna are served on the table. To enable the guests to taste more varieties, the portions of pasta, pizza & lasagna served is small.

From their array of mocktails, we had virgin mojito, mint & lemon coriander twist and Lemon Ice tea. The mint & lemon coriander twist is the best of the three – truly refreshing; while virgin mojito and lemon ice tea were ok.

Among the salads, Grilled chicken with Jalapenos is obviously spicy; and the combination of Egg & Broccoli salad is good. Among the soups, roasted pumpkin soup and chicken soup were rich in cream and the tangy flavor is nice.

Best among the non vegetarian starters are Milano Prawns and Cilantro Fish. Milano prawns had a very good flavor of pepper & garlic; and Cilantro Fish was just melting in the mouth. Caribbean chicken was soft but it was bland. Moroccan Lamb is minced meat coated with flour and deep fried, it was a bit chewy and I felt the flavor of Indian spices was more.

Broccoli Crostata, Herb Grilled Cottage Cheese, Cheese Stuffed Mushroom, Aioli Babycorn were part of the vegetarian starters. Broccoli crostata loaded with cheese is awesome; minced veggies along with mushroom & cheese served in pockets is good. Aioli Babycorn had an overdose of honey coating and it turned very sweet.

Among the maincourse, we were served three variants of pasta (Arabiata, Alfredo & Basil Pesto). The pasta was well cooked in all these variants with Basil pesto being the best of all. Grilled fish with pepper sauce topped on herb better rice is something I loved because of the soft & tender fish with the right marination of pepper sauce. Coming to pizzas, The thin crust chicken margharita pizza and mexican veggies pizza were good.

Finally, a sumptuous meal comes to an end only after banging on the desserts. At Cibo, the juicy Tres Leches, soft & flavourful Coconut Mousse and Bread butter pudding are amazing.
